Policies & Procedures

How to place an order: Use Google Checkout! It is safe, extremely fast, and you are guaranteed that your order will land in the hands of the right person. Simply click on the checkout button and you will be redirected to Google's credit card processing system.

You may also make a purchase by calling 866.451.5541. The customer service person you speak with on the phone will ask for your contact information, shipping address and credit card information. You will need to know the credit card expiration date and security code from the back of your credit card. You will be asked for an email address so that we can send you an order confimation and your shipment tracking information. Do not, under any circumstances, email us your credit card information.

Payment Options: We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.

Sales Tax: We are required to collect sales tax for orders shipped to destinations within the State of Michigan.

Shipping and Delivery: Most of our furniture pieces are built to order and require a minimum of 2 weeks for manufacture. Orders for the few products we have stock will be processed within 3 business days. You will receive an email confirming your order tracking number. If an item is out of stock or requires a custom finish, it may take up to 4 to 6 weeks to process and ship your order. Deliveries to the 48 contiguous states will be made via UPS Ground. The customer service representative will inform you of the amount of your shipping charge when you place your order.

Damaged Merchandise: Every shipment is insured against damage and you must carefully inspect your merchandise upon receipt. Upon receipt of any package from Knu, you must note any damage to the carton(s) at the time of delivery and note this when and where you are signing for the packages. Notify us immediately if you do notice any damage due to transit. To successfully expedite any damage claim, you must keep the original packing material that the item(s) arrived in and print the words, "Damaged Upon Arrival" next to where you sign for the merchandise. Digital or traditional photographs can also be very helpful tools in assisting us to expedite a damage claim.

Satisfaction Guarantee:We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If you have any issue, please contact us immediately, either by phone or email. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason you may return the product, however we must charge you a restocking fee to cover our costs. Our restocking fee is 25% of the original purchase price. The cost of shipping the item back to Knu will be the responsibility of you, the customer. We also require that you insure the return shipment against damage.  If the shipment is not insured and arrives damaged, you will be held responsible for the damage.  You should take digital photos of the item being returned and the packaging; these will come in handy later if there is damage to the return shipment.

Please remember that the natural beauty of wood is incredibly diverse. The wood furniture pieces that you are purchasing will closely resemble the photos on this website, however the grain pattern in veneer will most assuredly differ.

Returns: Please inspect your purchase immediately upon receipt. We do our best to design and package products so that they arrive in good condition but sometimes damage can occur. You must be present at the time of delivery in order to sign for the product, please note any damage to the packaging when signing for your item and be sure to keep all of the original packing material. Before returning an item, you must contact us within 5 business days of receipt to obtain return instructions. Items must be unused and unassembled, in their original condition, and in their original packaging, complete with all tags, instructions, and inserts. All returns must be shipped back to us using the same method it was shipped (UPS ground in most cases). If you are uncertain about any of these procedures please contact us by e-mailing customerservice@getknu.com or by calling 1-866-451-5541, our business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. - 4:00pm Eastern Time. If the product is damaged or defective we will issue a refund for the item provided the product is received by us, unassembled and in its original packaging, within 14 days of the original delivery date. Refunds will be in the form of a credit to the original credit card charged for the purchase.

Privacy Policy: We will not sell your personal information to anyone. When you purchase a product, your credit card is charged only when you place an order. Your credit card information is never re-used except to issue refunds or to make other required adjustments.
