The Swing-Away Series by Knú® Healthcare is designed for high-use treatment environments where cleanability is key.
Cleanability in Full Swing
A quick-removable back, lift-up seat, and arms that swing open a full 180 degrees provide easier access for cleaning, without compromising comfort or performance. The mechanism concealment plate helps keep hands clear of moving internal parts, while a durable arm lock pedal secures each arm in place while occupied by a patient.
Once the patient exits the chair, a simple press of the arm lock pedal allows the arm to swing open for cleaning of surfaces inaccessible on most recliners.
Access to interior surfaces is further eased by a clean-out gap between the base of the arm and seat. The safety concealment plate helps block unintended interactions with the chair’s recline mechanism.
Comfort in Motion
A newly redesigned cable release system opens the leg rest at the pull of the side lever, while the infinite position locking back secures the recline angle, from upright to the flatbed sleep position or anywhere in between.
All Swing-Away Series recliners are standard with Trendelenburg position capability, allowing the seat and back to tilt so the occupant’s feet and legs are higher than their head.
Customized for Care
The Swing-Away Series offers numerous optional accessories, from clinical options such as Foley bag holders and IV poles, to comfort and convenience features like heat/massage and USB charging ports. A new side tray specifically for dialysis and treatment spaces was even developed, which folds up flush with the recliner arm to help prevent lines, cords, or tubing from becoming caught.
